This nature reserve between Empuriabrava and Santa Margarita boasts one of the few official summer kite zones near Roses. Best conditions are in easterlies: Gregal (north-easterly), Levante (easterly) or Xaloc (south-easterly). Depending on strength, the wind can deliver some decent chop. In holiday season, watch out for busy boat traffic from the marinas on the northern and southern end – every apartment seems to have its own slipway.
