In northerly storms Stockholmers make the 150km pilgrimage to Rullsand, 15km east of Gävle. The break is in the Dalälven estuary where powerful waves roll over the deposited sandbars. Just don’t underestimate the current near the rivermouth! The next bay to the east in front of the campsite is more protected and has a large standing-depth area – but watch out for numerous rocks in the water.
