Rusheen Bay
Irish West Coast
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
Rusheen Bay is almost totally enclosed, apart from a small channel connecting this small inlet with Galway Bay. Chest-deep at low tide, it's perfect for beginners or flat-water blasting. It’s become very popular with kiters, but remains a great gybe training venue for windsurfers too. Overall a very versatile spot – at high tide advanced riders can even score some bump-&-jump on open sea just a few steps over the mussel-strewn bank. Be careful during ebb tide when there’s a pretty powerful current. The area boasts many pubs and B&Bs, the nicer ones are along Barna Road and Gentian Hill.
