Located on the east bank of the Bodden, Saal is more popular than Born these days. On summer weekends a south-westerly wind sets the place on fire – even on land it's crazy. The local kite schools rock up in double-decker buses, plus there are girls camps, beach parties – the whole enchilada! Westerly winds are thermally strengthened by a sea breeze on sunny days. You can park (and even overnight) at the old harbour right next to the launch.
