A north-westerly wind can deliver superb wave sessions north of the moorings on flood tide. The best sections break on the pier, but don't get too close as there's quite a current. In summer, the north-westerly thermal sometimes blows strong enough for light-wind wave conditions – otherwise it’s freeride or bump-&-jump. The high-season kite zone is about 1km to the west.
