Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
At the northern end of Le Havre’s beach, thermals and landscape can accelerate northerly breezes to Force 5 around the cape while there’s next-to-nothing just 100m up the coast. The thermal tends to work here when Fécamp takes a breather, and vice-versa. Depending on wind-strength, it varies between bump-&-jump and cross-on waves; usually great for jumping. A huge shorebreak rumbles onto pebbles at high tide, but there’s a little beach-break at low water plus another break 200m offshore on the outer sandbank. Last but not least, look out downwind for a shipwreck marked by black-and-yellow buoys. Altogether too risky for kiting.
