San Pietro is a combination spot: the sea-facing side offers a beach-break with cross-on conditions, whereas land-side there's a freestyle lagoon in the Coghinas estuary (which isn't even a river – more of a dammed stream). The narrow beach between them consists of powder-fine sand. Even in summer it’s soulsurfer joy, as long as you’re willing to walk a few hundred metres.
