Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
'Playa de la Pileta' is most famous for its horse-races in August. It’s also a safe bet for freeride and jump sessions over small waves in cross-on Poniente. Westerly wind gets a thermal top-up in summer to blow stronger through the afternoon. If Levante blows hard enough you can also ride in cross-offshore winds, even if it is gusty close inshore. The colour of the water takes some getting used to, and earnt the beach its name – 'La Pileta' means "the sink"! But it's just silt from Río Guadalquivir, the water quality actually isn't bad. In high summer, the city beach gets packed.
