Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
These are the northernmost of over 10km of beaches along Costa da Caparica, which are very popular with Lisbonites. The breakwaters built to combat erosion also help order the beach-break. Waves and current are limited and the Nortada doesn't blow as strong as Guincho. Surfers have priority on the breaks, and in summer the beach belongs to countless swimmers. Then kiting is only permitted further south, where the breakwaters diminish and the urban atmosphere dissolves into a vast dune landscape.
