Schillig

Ostfriesland

Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:

On Wangerland's north-east corner, Schillig suits northerly round to southerly winds. This large standing-depth venue is particularly attractive to kiters. High tide grants water under your fins for around five hours. At low tide, switch to a landboard on the grass kite arena. The beach is popular with swimmers too, so stick to the marked kite zones. The co-existence has worked well so far, the campsite next door even allows use of its showers for free – on one condition: your sandy wetsuit stays outside!
