Sciotot

Here's the alternative in a south-easterly, which blows too offshore in Siouville, whereas Sciotot provides sweet frontside riding conditions. It's not to be scoffed at in a southerly either – not quite as gusty in the shorebreak, although the waves aren’t as radical as Siouville. If you prefer starboard tack, Sciotot comes good in a north-westerly wind. The waves are less powerful at low tide; high creates a current towards the rocks in the north. It’s well worth packing a surfboard for when the wind drops.
