Silloth Beach
North-West England
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
Facing Scotland across the Solway Firth, Silloth Beach to the south of the docks is particularly good for windsports in south-westerlies. Consisting of a narrow strip of sand-dunes leading to a shingle beach above vast tidal sand-flats, it typically provides freeride conditions with the occasional hint of chop, and relatively strong tidal currents. The area is also popular for fishing, cycling and canoeing, so parking and all the usual tourist amenities are plentiful.
