Siouville

This broad, sandy beach set amidst picturesque scenery undoubtedly hosts Normandy's best waves. Southerly blows cross to cross-offshore, holding up super-clean walls of water; tailor-made for waveriding and aerials. It’s gusty in the shorebreak, but although south-westerly blows better it’s extremely choppy on the outside and the waves aren’t quite as clean. Northerlies also work, yet seldom happen. The waves are smaller at low tide than high, but hollow and twice as punchy. There was a yellow buoy and metal-caged outfall pipe in the impact zone – a real danger if not seeing either of them, especially around mid-tide. However, both have thankfully been removed in the meantime.
