A favourite for Sunday sunbathers, party people and Barcelona’s gay scene, Sitges is a good windsurfing venue in rare winter Levante (which blows almost cross-shore and stronger than 'Castelldefels'). The waves arrive in well-ordered lines between the breakwaters, so it's popular with surfers too. But strike Sitges off the list in summer – the wind’s usually too light, it’s super-busy, plus parking’s pricey and virtually impossible anyway.
