St Combs

Tucked away behind Inverallochy Golf Course, St Combs is completely exposed to the full brutality that the North Sea can throw at it. Although the slabby reef-break can hold huge waves, the ledge is a little way offshore so the inside stays relatively flat to help get out into the bigger sets. Popular with local riders, as it's not always wavy and offers a nice launch with easy access – but don't be charmed by its alluring nature as heavy waves and strong currents have been known to claim kit on big days.
