Strandhill
Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
Sligo town's nearest break picks up the most swell in the whole north-west. Strandhill’s an insane place for aerials, although dangerous rips threaten in anything over logo-high. Only really suits low to mid-tide, but it’s one of the few spots that also works in a south-south-easterly wind. It’s best to park by the stairs midway down the car-park; from there it’s not far to The Strand pub for a post-session pint of Guinness! The breaks around here are home to lots of surfers – so show them some respect. The best webcam wave-check for this coastline is at www.strandhillsurfschool.com
