Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
The mile-long stretch of sand at Tenby South Beach is much bigger and quieter than Tenby North – and the conditions are much better too. Cross-shore south-westerly winds usually provide very good freeride conditions. East and south-easterlies also work well, although the water gets choppier. Very occasionally the surf can get good here when big storms have blown out other beaches in the area. All tides are sailable and parking is available at the beach – plus there's access via the dunes at Penally. There are cafés and shops at the northern end of the beach, plenty of accommodation in town, and even lifeguards on duty in summertime.
