The Bluff
Devon & Cornwall
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
This top-class wave spot is anything but a bluff! In fact, in a big swell The Bluff probably offers Cornwall's best wavesailing – it’s not rare to score a dozen bottom turns plus aerials on one wave. Best at mid to high-tide but heavily influenced by the shifting sandbars, south-west is perfect cross-offshore although it does need groundswell to really work. If the swell's small, head north to the campsite for a nice beach-break and great jumping, or cross the rivermouth for cross-offshore riding in a westerly. There's excellent kitesurfing in the estuary with perfect flat water in north-westerlies at low to mid-tide, although there can be up to a 10-knot current. Rig on the grass at the car-park above the Bluff Inn. Kiters need a permit from Kernow Kitesurf Club to launch.
