West of Monte Circeo, the tower at Torre Paola overlooks the elegant resort of 'Saporetti’. This is a typical summer freeride and beginner venue. From May to September a southerly thermal develops through the morning, which only works close to the mountain so can sometimes be pretty gusty. The sandy seabed drops-off gently, and the water's accordingly flat. West to south-westerly winds can deliver waves, which occasionally even attract surfers.
