Torreguadiaro
Estrecho de Gibraltar, Algeciras
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
When the Levante's not too light and gusty, this place isn't so bad – the waves are definitely better than in Tarifa. Downwind of the harbour breakwater they roll in pretty clean and the water isn't too choppy. Some riders also launch upwind of the marina in 'Torreguadiaro'; the beach is much wider, although there are often surfers in the line-up by the breakwater. When there are waves, the shorebreak gets demanding. The atmosphere is best described by the estate agents' blurb: “In the '70s practically nobody lived in Sotogrande. Today, it has a marina, a golf course, tennis courts, good recreational and shopping facilities – and all this just minutes away from the busy Costa del Sol."
