If south or north-easterly winds aren't quite blowing hard enough into Ría de Rodiles, or when the spots dry out at low tide, there's safe flat-water conditions in the little reservoir of Trasona for practicing your tacks and gybes. The best launch, right by the dam, belongs to Club Náutico Ensidesa – either ask their permission, or rig-up in the car-park and don’t leave any kit in the field. The water quality can be questionable in summer due to occasional algae blooms.
