Ulibarri-Gamboa

The Ullibarri-Gamboa reservoir is especially popular with windsurfing locals from nearby Vitoria-Gasteiz. Sadly the easy launch at Club Nautico is for members only, so you'll have to try and grab a parking space on the road. You can also launch from 'Landa' beach on the far bank. Out of season there's more space for rigging here, and it's even standing-depth for a few metres. The best wind direction is south-easterly; anything else is very gusty. The northerly thermal isn't as consistent as 'Pantano del Ebro', often delivering a fog that kills the breeze.
