Undercliff Road

Felixstowe is easily Suffolk's most popular spot, yet still not nearly as busy as South Coast venues. The main launch is from the car-park opposite Ferry Golf Club where any combination of wind against a strong tidal current is good. Low tide offers the best waves – although new sea defences and shifting shingle banks have impacted on conditions. Kiters appreciate the rivermouth's flat water in southerly winds. Windsurfers migrate 1km south to 'Undercliff Road' if a south-westerly proves too offshore, or up the River Orwell to 'Levington Marina' in west to north-westerly wind against flood tide.
