Ventnor
Isle of Wight
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
One of the sunniest places on the island with a micro-climate that seeded the impressive Botanic Gardens, but Ventnor isn't just a sun-trap – it catches good wind in prevailing south-westerlies too. Low tide can reveal blinding conditions for jumping and waveriding as any groundswell breaks onto the reefs. If it’s blowing strong north-easterly, the frontside waveriding can be glorious. Although the green cliffs and tight, rocky shoreline don't attract many kiters, it is popular amongst surfers, so do show them some respect.
