Oslofjorden
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
Locals rate the Oslofjord's east bank kite mecca among Europe's finest freestyle spots. The large greens are totally covered with colourful kites on a good day, yet it's never crowded in the bay as there's room for hundreds of kiters. Exposed to southerly winds, there’s a standing-depth area for beginners and it's perfectly flat for freestyle – especially in high-pressure when the water level's extra-low. Just a bit further out it’s deep enough for windsurf fins too. The only danger lurks in the shipping lane beyond the headland – but it’s easy to stay away from. The fjord is fed from water up in the mountains, so even in summer the upper reaches stay pretty chilly.
