Walberswick
East & North-East England
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
The charming towns of Southwold and neighbouring 'Walberswick' are both good options for catching a decent North Sea swell. You'll need to rig bigger than you think as there's a fierce cross-shore drift, plus some serious currents around the harbour entrance. Walberswick's shingle / sandy beach works best in south-westerly to easterly when shifting offshore sandbanks offer good riding and jumping, but it can be a tourist honeypot on a sunny day. Southwold's wider, sandier beach is generally the better spot to kite – best in northerlies, which often produce bigger if messier waves here.
