Walton Filtration Plant
Thames Estuary
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
Walton's coastal launch is good in a southerly, but can also offer respectable jumping in north-easterly winds. Best on flood tide, there are strong currents and a solid shorebreak towards high – fortunately, the launch is in front of the Coastguard station! Plus there's free parking and a great café on the beach. In a north-westerly, kiters ride north past Naze Tower or drive to the filtration plant (if the road's not swamped) to find medium chop off the headland. Further upwind, sandbanks provide flat water and an estuary offers good freestyle at high tide.
