A classic seaside resort with amusement arcades, pubs and chip shops – plus the best surf conditions around, as Tramore catches all the swell that misses the east coast. Hence the surf-scene is suitably healthy. Westerly wind is cross-shore starboard tack. Launch east of the car-park to give the surfers their space; they tend to gravitate towards the sheltered west end of the beach.
