Whitsand Bay
Devon & Cornwall
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
A beautiful clear water spot, Whitsands can offer good waveriding when Bigbury's too busy. A long walk to the water ensures this long sandy beach is rarely crowded – although most of it floods at high tide, except in front of Tregantle Fort where the firing range can restrict access. Whitsands needs a S swell to work, when although the waves aren't that powerful they can get fairly big. Best in north-westerlies for cross-shore riding: large cliffs make cross-offshore much lighter and gustier. South-easterlies offer easier jumping and kiting conditions.
