Whitstable
Thames Estuary
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
Whitstable offers a broad spectrum of conditions from flat water at low tide to small waves at mid to high. In town, windsurfers launch between the groynes south-west of the harbour, kiters on the beach to the north-east. For a few of hours around high tide a shallow speedstrip locally known as 'The Street’ runs parallel the beach; great for freestyle and safe for beginners. Alternatively, 'Tankerton Point' to the east is a friendly little spot – you'll need to carry your kit in from Plough Lane, but there's a large expanse of grass to rig up on when you get there.
