A renowned surf-spot and home to a fair few surf-schools, the cliffs flanking Widemouth make it quite fickle for wind. Kiters freeride here in onshore westerlies, otherwise look for south-south-east or north-north-easterly. Even at chest to head-high it's a surprisingly powerful wave, particularly at mid-tide. Launching is best from the southernmost car-park.
