The mudflats by the marina offer a fantastic teaching and freestyle venue where mainly youngsters cut loose. Easy parking and amenities complete the picture. It's just for windsurfing though, as kiting isn’t permitted. Good for training and tricks for six hours around high tide, especially at slack water. The wind blows freely into the bay from north-east to south-westerly – as long as gusty winds don’t bother you, it’s sailable in other directions too. The water’s amazingly clear, plus there's a pretty good view of the lighthouse over the green dyke.
